Do I need a referral?A referral is generally not required for an appointment with one of our clinician’s. We do require a referral for individuals with a fracture from a GP or hospital for application of a water-proof cast and those with a DVA card.

Do I require an appointment?To provide you with the best possible service, we strongly advise you to schedule an appointment. While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, this may not always be possible.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?All locations are wheelchair accessible. Our Geelong location has ramp access from the rear with a car park.

Do you have onsite parking?We have parking at the rear of Geelong Orthotics. To access the carpark, enter from McMillan Place off Little Ryrie Street. If you are having troubles locating this carpark, please contact us on (03) 5224 2200.

Can I claim a rebate through my private health insuranceYou may be able to claim a rebate from your private health insurer depending on your level of cover. Our staff will advise you of the relevant codes, however, some insurers may require you to have a referral.

Can I claim through Medicare?Our professional association is working to become recognised through Medicare. At this stage, orthotic services are not claimable through Medicare.

How long will it take to fabricate my orthosis?Your Orthotist will advise you on how long your orthosis will take to fabricate. Generally, foot orthotics take two weeks to fabricate.

How else can I get funding for my orthotics?Funding may be available to eligible individuals through the NDIS, TAC, WorkCover, SWEP, DVA or Home Care packages.
